This automotive grade heat exchanger has the usual 5/8" coolant ports, but its main feature is that it has both fresh water ports as 1/2" BSP parallel threads. What does this mean?
Well this thread can have John Guest fittings screwd straight to it. So if you are using the rigid pipping and Guest fiitings on a motorhome, then connecting this heat exchanger in line is a breeze.
Even brass gas fittings can be screwed straight to 1/2" BSP, so copper tube can be used. Now that's versatile.
Please note, if screwing a fitting onto the heat exchanger, hold the heat exchanger fitting with a 7/8" spanner so it does not move and break the internal seal.
